The cactus that didn't get the memo about losing its leaves. Pereskia sits at the evolutionary base of the entire cactus family, stubbornly retaining broad, actual leaves while its descendants were busy becoming minimalist spiky cylinders in the desert. It's technically a cactus. It looks nothing like a cactus. It will make everyone who sees it say "wait, that's a cactus?" and that reaction alone is worth growing one.
