Aglaonema 'Siam' is the Chinese Evergreen that arrived from Thailand with strong opinions about color—those broad, waxy leaves are a deep, saturated red orange with green edges that frame each leaf like a border on something that knows it's valuable, the whole composition warm and vivid and impossible to overlook in any light condition. 🌿 Light — Low to bright indirect light. More light intensifies those red-orange tones to their most saturated; lower light is tolerated but the warmth fades toward duller red—still striking, just less of a statement.
💧 Water — Let the top 1–2 inches dry between waterings, then water thoroughly and drain. Classic Aglaonema drought tolerance fully intact; overwatering is still the primary mistake and she'll yellow at the base before things get serious.
💨 Humidity — Average to moderate, 40–60%. Comfortable in typical home humidity without supplemental assistance—one of the most low-maintenance colorful plants available, full stop.
🌡️ Temperature — 65–80°F. Never below 60°F. No cold drafts, no AC vents—those warm red-orange tones are the first thing to suffer when temperatures drop and the contrast loss is immediately noticeable.
🪴 Soil — Well-draining all-purpose or aroid mix. Consistent moderate moisture without waterlogging; not demanding about soil as long as drainage keeps roots happy and tones vivid.
🌱 Fertilizer — Balanced liquid fertilizer monthly in spring and summer. Nothing in fall and winter; consistent gentle feeding keeps those red-orange tones at their most saturated and the growth steady.
⚠️ Toxicity — Toxic to pets and humans. Calcium oxalate crystals cause oral irritation and vomiting if ingested.

In cold weather, we strongly recommend adding a Heat Pack add-on for each shipment. Heat packs are priced separately and add additional weight to your box.
