Alocasia amazonica 'Pink Mint' is the African Mask Plant doing something it had absolutely no business attempting and pulling off completely—those iconic dark green arrow-shaped leaves with bold white venation are now flushed with soft pink and mint variegation that makes the whole composition look like someone crossed a collector's Alocasia with a watercolor painting and then refused to apologize for how beautiful the result turned out. Each leaf carries the pink and mint differently, some lightly touched, some dramatically splashed, making every new unfurling leaf a genuinely unpredictable event that serious collectors have been known to photograph in real time. Rare, ethereal, and entirely serious about its care requirements—this one is for growers who are ready for exactly this level of extraordinary.
Care Card
🌿 Light — Bright indirect, non-negotiable. Pink and mint variegated sections have reduced chlorophyll and need consistent good light; low light causes both colors to fade and the whole watercolor effect washes out toward plain green.
💧 Water — Top inch dry between waterings, then water thoroughly and drain. Chunky well-draining aroid mix essential; pale variegated tissue is less forgiving of soggy roots than standard amazonica—precision matters more than frequency here.
💨 Humidity — 65–80% required. Humidifier strongly recommended; dry air causes browning that shows immediately and dramatically against those pale pink and mint sections.
🌡️ Temperature — 65–82°F. Never below 62°F. Cold drafts damage pale variegated sections fastest—stable warmth is non-negotiable for keeping those colors intact and looking intentional.
🌱 Fertilizer — Quarter to half-strength balanced liquid every 2–4 weeks in spring and summer. Pink and mint tissue burns more easily than green—go gentle and consistent. Nothing in fall and winter.
⚠️ Toxicity — Toxic to pets and humans. Calcium oxalate crystals cause serious oral irritation if ingested.
🐣 Beginner Friendly? — Absolutely not. Rare, multi-toned variegation, high humidity demands, and an unforgiving root system make this strictly for experienced collectors who understand what they're getting into and are excited about every bit of it.

PLEASE NOTE: What you see is the vibe — not the exact plant. 🌿 Each plant has its own personality (some a little more dramatic than others). Leaf shape, size, and variegation will vary, but pot size is consistent.
