🌿 Light — Bright indirect preferred. That metallic blue-grey sheen needs good light to stay vivid and shift properly; low light dulls the metallic quality toward flat grey-green and the whole steel-cast effect loses its lustre.
💧 Water — Top 1–2 inches dry between waterings, then water thoroughly and drain. Well-draining aroid mix essential; moist but never waterlogged—the metallic surface is extraordinary until root rot ends the whole performance without warning.
💨 Humidity — 60–75% required. Humidifier strongly recommended; dry air causes browning on those elongated metallic leaf tips that shows immediately against the blue-grey surface and interrupts the whole pewter effect.
🌡️ Temperature — 65–85°F. Never below 60°F. Stable warmth keeps those metallic spear-shaped leaves unfurling consistently; cold drafts dull the metallic sheen faster than anything else.
🌱 Fertilizer — Half-strength balanced liquid every 2–4 weeks in spring and summer. Monthly in early fall. Nothing in winter.
⚠️ Toxicity — Toxic to pets and humans. Calcium oxalate crystals cause serious oral irritation if ingested.
🐣 Beginner Friendly? — No. Rare metallic cultivar, humidity and drainage required, and a colorway this unusual deserves experienced care—but for intermediate to experienced collectors who find her, she is genuinely one of the most distinctive Alocasias in the hobby.
