She's a relatively recent introduction from Sulawesi, Indonesia, and the plant community received her with the kind of enthusiasm typically reserved for things that are both genuinely rare and genuinely beautiful, which she is. Give her a bright warm room with consistent humidity and she'll push leaves that make every other plant in the collection look like it's not trying hard enough.
