💧 Water — Top 1–2 inches dry between waterings, then water thoroughly and drain. Well-draining aroid mix essential; moist but never waterlogged—she has the classic Alocasia zero tolerance for soggy roots and her dark surface will show stress immediately.
💨 Humidity — 60–75% required. Humidifier strongly recommended; dry air causes browning that shows immediately against that near-black surface and interrupts the whole dramatically dark architectural effect.
🌡️ Temperature — 65–85°F. Never below 62°F. Stable warmth keeps those near-black leaves pushing consistently; cold drafts dull the dark glossy quality faster than anything else and she is not interested in being anything other than dramatically dark.
