The Alocasia 'Okinawa Silver' looks like someone took a standard Alocasia and dipped it in moonlight—that striking silvery-grey surface with bold dark green venation creates a two-tone contrast so clean and graphic it looks deliberate in a way that most plants can only dream about. She's not the loudest plant in the room but she's absolutely the most elegant, the kind of specimen that makes a collection look curated rather than accumulated. Give her humidity and good light and she'll keep pushing those silver leaves like she has a point to prove.
Care Card
🌿 Light — Bright indirect preferred. The silver surface needs good light to stay luminous; low light turns it dull and flat and nobody wants that.
💧 Water — Top inch dry between waterings, then water thoroughly and drain. Moist but never soggy—she's silver, not swamp-themed.
💨 Humidity — 60–75% preferred. Brown edges show up immediately against that silver surface, so don't skimp on the humidity.
🌡️ Temperature — 65–85°F. No cold drafts, no chilly windowsills. Stable warmth keeps those silver leaves coming.
🪴 Soil — Chunky well-draining aroid mix. Roots need airflow; compacted soggy soil is the fastest way to ruin a perfectly good silver leaf.
🌱 Fertilizer — Half-strength balanced liquid every 2–4 weeks in spring and summer. Monthly in early fall. Nothing in winter.
⚠️ Toxicity — Toxic to pets and humans. Calcium oxalate crystals cause serious oral irritation if ingested.
🐣 Beginner Friendly? — Not quite. Humidity and drainage are non-negotiable, but she's achievable for intermediate growers with a humidifier and good intentions.

Shipping rates are based on the packed weight of your order (plants + soil + pot + box + insulation). This helps us cover the real cost of getting breakable, living things safely to you.
In cold weather, we strongly recommend adding a Heat Pack add-on for each shipment. Heat packs are priced separately and add additional weight to your box.

Shipping Days are Monday-Wednesday to avoid weekend and holiday delays.
