🌿 Light — Bright indirect, no direct sun. Dull veining and small leggy leaves are her way of telling you she's not getting enough. Scorched patches mean too much.
💧 Water — Let the soil dry out about 80% of the way before watering again, then water thoroughly and drain completely. She's epiphytic — roots need air as much as moisture. Soggy soil is a death sentence.
💨 Humidity — 50% minimum, 60%+ preferred. Below that she'll get crispy edges and a grudge. A humidifier is the move; misting helps but won't fully cut it.
🌡️ Temperature — 68–80°F. No cold drafts, no heat vents blowing directly on her. Stability matters.
🪴 Soil — Chunky, airy, fast-draining mix — orchid bark, perlite, and a bit of sphagnum moss. Standard potting soil will suffocate her roots. This is non-negotiable.
🌱 Fertilizer — Balanced liquid fertilizer at half strength every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer only.
✂️ Pruning — Just remove yellow or brown leaves at the base. That's it. She handles herself.
🌿 Propagation — Divide at the stem during repotting. Each division needs its own roots to survive.
⚠️ Toxicity — Toxic to pets and humans. Calcium oxalate crystals — keep her elevated and out of reach.
