The Anthurium 'Dorayaki' × Magnificum hybrid takes the Dorayaki's famously round, almost perfectly circular velvety leaves and crosses them with the Magnificum's bold, heavily ridged venation and substantial size—the result being something that looks like nature tried to design the perfect Anthurium and got very, very close. Each leaf is a broad, velvety, deeply veined statement piece that manages to feel both sculptural and lush simultaneously. This is a hybrid that serious collectors lose sleep over, and once you see it in person you'll understand completely.
Care Card
🌿 Light — Bright indirect, consistently. Velvety surface and bold venation need good light to fully develop; low light produces smaller, flatter leaves that don't do this hybrid justice.
💧 Water — Top inch dry between waterings, then water thoroughly and drain. Chunky well-draining aroid mix essential—velvety Anthuriums have zero patience for soggy roots and will communicate their displeasure immediately.
💨 Humidity — 65–80% required. Velvet surface demands it; humidifier is non-negotiable. Never mist directly onto the leaves—water marks on velvet are permanent and you will think about them every time you look at the plant.
🌡️ Temperature — 65–85°F. Never below 62°F. Stable warmth keeps new velvety leaves unfurling consistently; cold drafts shut the whole operation down.
🪴 Soil — Chunky well-draining aroid mix with good organic matter. These roots want to breathe and stay lightly moist—not wet, not bone dry.
🌱 Fertilizer — Half-strength balanced liquid every 2–4 weeks in spring and summer. Monthly in early fall. Nothing in winter.
⚠️ Toxicity — Toxic to pets and humans. Calcium oxalate crystals cause serious oral irritation if ingested.
🐣 Beginner Friendly? — No. Rare hybrid, velvet surface, high humidity requirements—this one is for experienced collectors who understand what they're getting into and are thrilled about it.
HOW OUR SHIPPING WORKS

PLEASE NOTE: What you see is the vibe — not the exact plant. 🌿 Each plant has its own personality (some a little more dramatic than others). Leaf shape, size, and variegation will vary, but pot size is consistent.
