The Anthurium 'Memoria Tim Anderson' is a named hybrid that carries both extraordinary genetics and genuine meaning—a collector's tribute plant with the kind of velvety, deeply veined, large-format leaves that make the Anthurium hobby worth the humidity bills and the therapy. Deep green velvet surface, dramatically raised venation, and the substantial presence of a plant that was clearly bred by someone who understood exactly what greatness looked like and set out to grow it deliberately. Owning one is both a privilege and a responsibility to the lineage.

🌿 Light — Bright indirect, consistently. Velvety surface and bold raised venation need good light to display their full depth; low light produces smaller, flatter leaves that don't honor the name.
💧 Water — Top inch dry between waterings, then water thoroughly and drain. Chunky well-draining aroid mix essential—velvety Anthuriums punish overwatering without warning and without mercy.
💨 Humidity — 70–85% preferred. This is a serious plant with serious humidity expectations; humidifier is non-negotiable. Never mist directly onto the velvety surface—water marks are permanent and disrespectful to the legacy.
🌡️ Temperature — 65–85°F. Never below 62°F. Stable warmth keeps those extraordinary leaves unfurling consistently; cold drafts are an insult to the plant and to Tim Anderson's memory.
🪴 Soil — Chunky well-draining aroid mix with quality organic matter. A plant this significant deserves a soil mix that takes the job seriously.
🌱 Fertilizer — Half-strength balanced liquid every 2–4 weeks in spring and summer. Monthly in early fall. Nothing in winter.
⚠️ Toxicity — Toxic to pets and humans. Calcium oxalate crystals cause serious oral irritation if ingested.
🐣 Beginner Friendly? — No. Named tribute hybrid, velvet surface, high humidity requirements—this one is for experienced collectors who will give it the care and the reverence it deserves.

We ship all live plants with custom packing, insulation, and lots of cushioning so they arrive in the best condition possible. Shipping rates are based on the packed weight of your order (plants + soil + pot + box + insulation). This helps us cover the real cost of getting breakable, living things safely to you.
In cold weather, we strongly recommend adding a Heat Pack add-on for each shipment. Heat packs are priced separately and add additional weight to your box
SHIPPING NOTE: Shipping includes wrapping and insulation. Heat packs are not included by default—please add a Heat Pack add-on to your cart for cold-weather shipping. Shipping Days are Monday–Wednesday to avoid weekend and holiday delays.
