🌿 Light — Bright indirect, no direct sun. Those spotted leaves need good light to stay vivid; low light dulls the red spots and stretches the delicate stems into something much less impressive.
💧 Water — Keep consistently moist but never waterlogged. She's a small plant with a small root system that dries out faster than you'd expect—don't let her go bone dry or she'll drop leaves dramatically and without apology.
💨 Humidity — 70–80% required. This is a rainforest species that genuinely needs high humidity to thrive; terrarium or grow tent conditions are ideal. Dry air causes rapid leaf edge browning that ruins the whole spotted effect.
🌡️ Temperature — 65–80°F. Never below 60°F. Stable warmth keeps her pushing those extraordinary spotted leaves consistently; cold or fluctuating temps stress her fast.
🪴 Soil — Light, well-draining mix with good moisture retention. Airy enough that roots breathe, rich enough that she stays consistently moist without waterlogging.
🌱 Fertilizer — Quarter to half-strength balanced liquid every 3–4 weeks in spring and summer. She's small and sensitive—less is genuinely more here.
⚠️ Toxicity — Toxic to pets and humans. Calcium oxalate crystals cause oral irritation if ingested.
🐣 Beginner Friendly? — No. High humidity requirements and sensitivity to both overwatering and dry air make this one for growers with a proper humid setup—but in the right environment she is absolutely spectacular.
