Begonia 'Inca Flame' arrives like she has something to prove—those richly colored leaves in deep bronze-green with vivid red-orange undersides and a metallic sheen that catches light from every angle make her look less like a houseplant and more like something excavated from a particularly spectacular archaeological dig. She's bold, warm-toned, and the kind of Begonia that makes you reconsider every neutral plant decision you've ever made. One good look and the whole collection needs reorganizing around her.
Care Card
🌿 Light — Bright indirect, no direct sun. That metallic bronze sheen and vivid coloring need good indirect light to stay rich and saturated; direct sun scorches and low light dulls the whole excavation to something considerably less gold.
💧 Water — Let the top inch dry between waterings, then water thoroughly at the base. Never on the leaves—metallic-surfaced Begonias spot easily and those marks don't disappear. Drain thoroughly; she will rot if she sits in moisture.
💨 Humidity — 55–70% preferred. Appreciates humidity without requiring terrarium conditions; a pebble tray or nearby humidifier keeps her happy without the high-maintenance setup.
🌡️ Temperature — 65–80°F. Never below 60°F. Stable warmth keeps those flame-colored leaves pushing consistently; cold temps dull the metallic quality fast.
🪴 Soil — Light, well-draining mix with good aeration. Rich enough to support lush growth, loose enough that roots never drown.
🌱 Fertilizer — Quarter to half-strength balanced liquid every 3–4 weeks in spring and summer. Consistent and light—Begonias burn easily when overfed.
⚠️ Toxicity — Toxic to pets and humans. Calcium oxalate crystals cause oral irritation if ingested.
🐣 Beginner Friendly? — Getting there. More forgiving than high-humidity Begonia species and delivers serious visual payoff—a great choice for intermediate growers ready to add some warmth to their collection.

Shipping rates are based on the packed weight of your order (plants + soil + pot + box + insulation). This helps us cover the real cost of getting breakable, living things safely to you.
In cold weather, we strongly recommend adding a Heat Pack add-on for each shipment. Heat packs are priced separately and add additional weight to your box.
SHIPPING NOTE: Shipping includes wrapping and insulation. Heat packs are not included by default—please add a Heat Pack add-on to your cart for cold-weather shipping. Shipping Days are Monday–Wednesday to avoid weekend and holiday delays.
