Philodendron gloriosum 'Snow Leopard' is the variegated gloriosum that takes one of the most beloved velvet Philodendrons in existence and adds irregular cream and white variegation across that dark velvety surface in a pattern so striking and so unpredictable it looks less like genetics and more like each leaf was individually designed by someone with exceptional taste and unlimited ambition. The contrast between the dark velvet base, the luminous white venation, and the irregular pale variegation creates a visual complexity that makes experienced collectors stop mid-sentence—three distinct elements competing for attention on a single leaf and somehow all winning simultaneously. Rare, extraordinary, and entirely serious about every care requirement it has.

🌿 Light — Bright indirect, non-negotiable. Dark velvety surface plus white variegation means reduced chlorophyll across the board; good consistent light keeps all three visual elements—velvet, venation, and variegation—displaying at their most extraordinary.
💧 Water — Top inch dry between waterings, then water thoroughly and drain. Chunky well-draining aroid mix essential; terrestrial creeper roots need airflow and white variegated tissue is less forgiving of soggy conditions than the standard gloriosum—precision matters enormously here.
💨 Humidity — 70–85% required. Velvet surface plus variegated tissue plus Colombian rainforest origins equals the highest humidity demands in the Philodendron genus; humidifier is non-negotiable. Never mist directly onto the velvety surface—ever.
🌡️ Temperature — 65–80°F. Never below 62°F. Stable warmth keeps those extraordinary leaves unfurling on schedule; cold drafts damage the velvet surface and pale variegated sections simultaneously—the worst possible outcome on a plant this rare.
🌱 Fertilizer — Half-strength balanced liquid every 2–4 weeks in spring and summer. Monthly in early fall. Nothing in winter; white variegated velvet tissue is fertilizer-sensitive—consistent and gentle is the only acceptable approach.
⚠️ Toxicity — Toxic to pets and humans. Calcium oxalate crystals cause oral irritation and vomiting if ingested.

In cold weather, we strongly recommend adding a Heat Pack add-on for each shipment. Heat packs are priced separately and add additional weight to your box.
