Philodendron goeldii 'Fun Bun' is the Philodendron that decided radiating symmetry was the whole personality—those long, glossy, lance-shaped leaflets arranged in a perfect circular whorl around the stem tips look less like a standard Philodendron and more like a botanical pinwheel designed by someone with a very specific vision and excellent follow-through. She's architectural, unusual, and completely unlike anything else in the genus, the kind of plant that makes experienced collectors do a double-take because she breaks every visual expectation the Philodendron family usually sets. Compact, structural, and genuinely fun to watch push new whorls—the Fun Bun earns every syllable of that name.

🌿 Light — Bright indirect preferred. That distinctive radiating whorl displays its full architectural symmetry with good light; low light causes the leaflets to reach unevenly toward the light source and the perfect pinwheel arrangement loses its precision.
💧 Water — Let the top 1–2 inches dry between waterings, then water thoroughly and drain. Standard Philodendron drought tolerance applies; well-draining aroid mix keeps roots healthy and those symmetrical whorls pushing on a satisfying schedule.
💨 Humidity — 55–70% preferred. More tolerant of average humidity than collector aroids; a humidifier supports the best leaflet size and glossy surface quality but typical home conditions are genuinely manageable.
🌡️ Temperature — 65–85°F. Never below 60°F. Stable warmth keeps those pinwheel whorls unfurling consistently; cold drafts slow new growth on a plant where every new whorl is worth anticipating.
🪴 Soil — Well-draining aroid mix. Upright growing habit means a compact but substantial root system; good drainage and consistent moisture support the architectural growth that makes this plant so distinctive.
🌱 Fertilizer — Half-strength balanced liquid every 2–3 weeks in spring and summer. Monthly in early fall. Nothing in winter; consistent feeding supports the whorl production that is genuinely the whole point of growing something this architecturally unusual.
⚠️ Toxicity — Toxic to pets and humans. Calcium oxalate crystals cause oral irritation and vomiting if ingested.
